Acne & Blemish Prone
Excessive secretion by sebaceous glands contributes to the oily appearance of the skin; facial skin may have a rough, uneven texture with visibly large pores. Improper care for oily skin may also result in blocked pores which are prone to acne, pimples, pustules, or other conditions.
Anti-Aging
Age-related skin concerns are due in part to the loss of collagen and elastin. This lowers the moisture content of the stratum corneum layer and reduces sebum secretion. This results in the appearance of dull-looking skin. Dry skin, then, generally shows the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Dark Spots & Hyperpigmentation
Many factors contribute to hyperpigmentation: genetics, health, hormones, age, and sun damage. The primary reasons for dark spots and other hyperpigmentation is UV damage to the basal cells in the epidermis and excessive melanin production, resulting in irregular hyperpigmentation.
Dryness
Dry skin is prone to the formation of wrinkles due to low moisture content and particularly at the thinner layers of your skin. Reduced sebum secretion contributes to the appearance of dullness.
Sensitivity & Redness
Some factors leading to sensitive skin include: cosmetic treatment such as improper acid peels, pulsed light treatment, insufficient care after skin injury, or improper use of cosmetic products.
